The Nina The Pinta Poster

Here’s a two color screen print put together for The Nina The Pinta’s cd relase show at the Big V’s.
Steve Harrington
Steve Harrington is a screen printer par excellence. With a serious sixties nostalgic feel, his work references some really great poster art without being derivative. There’s also very contemporary overtones. He is work is a lens on print history, firmly rooted in today’s cultural context. Think Milton Glaser and Wes Anderson’s illegitimate child. (his work really reminds me of The Royal Tenenbaums). There’s a ton of great stuff on his web site. Check out this interview witth him on youworkforthem.com.
Jug’s Birthday
Sweet rockshow coming up at the beloved Turf Club in St Paul, in honor of every bodies favorite grizzled ole’ teddybear Jug. You may know him from the door at the Turf, or the fourth stool from the left at the clown lounge. Skoal Kodiak, Big Timber, Falcon Crest, and the Danforths.
Tuesday May 2nd. $4. Me, Darcie and Tom made the posters. Who can argue with this line-up on a tuesday night. Make sure you get there to see the Danforths, they’re quirky and weird and art-astic.
