New show at Threadbanger called “How To Tuesdays”, which is a weekly DIY summer special. It’s like ReadyMade for clothes, but on video, and cheaper.

Awesome and More Awesome

No Time To F***

lochersYou have to check out this parisian fashion line Lochers. Named for designer Nicole Lochers, this collection of women’s tops has a nostalgic retro feel. Kind of a like a sweet small Parisian village, except for the somewhat lewd and scandalous phrases embroidered on them. Delightful juxtaposition. “I don’t play nice” “Dirty Little love maker” and my personal favorite “I hate children.” You must know a nice little lady with a birthday coming up soon, give her one of these.

coveted
I found Locher posted at fabulous fashion blog The Coveted. Check it out, it’s loaded with good stuff. And she’s got exceptional taste in shoes.

Threadbanger

threadbangerAre you a crafty fashion junky? Fancy yourself an Etsy expert? Then you should check out ThreadBanger. A social networking site aimed at folks who make their own clothing, ThreadBanger is loaded with interesting, and sometimes useful stuff. They even rock out a weekly video entitled Thread Heads. Check it.

VIRB is social networking

virbVIRB is social networking for people who like nice looking things. Ever found your self bothered by how ugly your myspace page is. Social networking sites like MySpace and FaceBook get all the press, Virb is on its way. The tools they have built to allow their users the freedom to customize their pages is unsurpassed. They are built in such a way that you can’t make an ugly Virb page. Their slogan “Virb makes your favorite things easy to publish and easy to find” is pretty much true. The polish feels genuine. There is no sense of corporate gloss. Does this bring in folks with better taste? Maybe. I might just give it a try.

Robert Geller

geller
Geller is a german designer trained at RISD. After a stint at Marc Jacobs, he’s off on his own doing menswear. It’s got a ‘newsie’ feel to it without being obnoxious. Floppy bowties that only a select portion of the population could pull off, but classic oxford shirts, and trousers that would look pretty good on most. Just enough James Dean.
